Festive Season Campaign

The Festive Season Campaign is a yearly tourism promotion initiative targeting the holiday period, aimed at boosting domestic and international tourism during the festive season. The campaign focuses on promoting holiday destinations, events, and travel packages in Zimbabwe, encouraging both locals and tourists from abroad to spend the holiday season exploring the country. This campaign offers special discounts, family-oriented packages, and highlights festive activities such as traditional celebrations, festivals, and local cuisine experiences. The campaign helps to reduce the traditional low season for tourism, increases revenue for hospitality businesses, and strengthens the domestic tourism market.

Meet and Greet Program

The Meet and Greet program is designed to enhance the visitor experience by offering a warm and welcoming reception at key entry points such as airports, bus terminals, and border posts. The program aims to create a positive first impression for tourists arriving in Zimbabwe, setting the tone for their stay and emphasizing Zimbabwean hospitality. This initiative often includes cultural performances, information booths, and personalized assistance for travelers. It highlights the friendly, welcoming nature of Zimbabwean culture. By enhancing the arrival experience, the program seeks to improve tourist satisfaction, promote repeat visits, and encourage positive word-of-mouth.

Beautification of Cities

This program focuses on enhancing the aesthetic appeal of Zimbabwe’s urban areas to make them more attractive to both domestic and international visitors. The initiative aims to improve the visual environment of cities through landscaping, cleanliness, public art, and green spaces, contributing to the overall experience for tourists and residents alike.  Key cities and towns, especially tourism hubs like Harare, Bulawayo, and Victoria Falls, are being targeted for beautification efforts, including upgrading parks, road networks, and public amenities. The beautification of cities is expected to enhance Zimbabwe’s image as a tourist destination, improve quality of life for residents, and encourage tourism investment.
